Viking Warrior

I made this character during the master class I attended at cgmasteracademy.com. This class was held by Pete Zoppi (peterzoppi.com) for 10 weeks. The objective of this class was to understand character creation for film and game cinematics in terms of a character's profile, and its ultimate purpose in a composition or narrative.

  • Mudbox: modeling, texturing

  • ZBrush: high poly sculpting

  • Marvelous Designer: clothing

  • Substance Painter: texture painting

  • Arnold Render: lighting and renderings

  • Photoshop: post processing

I used various methods to achieve a realistic result, from hand painting and sculpting to texturing XYZ to shader creation in Maya.
